This beginner-friendly class is perfect for anyone wanting to try blacksmithing for the first time, especially with a partner. With minimal physical effort and no prior experience needed. I'll guide you step-by-step through the entire process: texturing the petals and stem, putting all the pieces together, shaping each individual petal until the rose comes to life.
By the end of the class, you'll walk away with two of your very own one-of-a-kind steel roses.
All materials, tools, and safety equipment will be included.
We will start off the class with the basics on forge safety and continue on to cold texturing of the petals to let you get some practice swinging a hammer before we will light the forge and begin the hot forging steps.
It usually takes between 2-4 hours to complete the rose. There will be a 1-hour lunch break at noon.
